- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆My experience of Sarah Platt-Hepworth was not a happy one. I went to have a follow up hearing test - I have mild to moderate hearing loss , suspected I had lost more hearing, almost two years since my last one - and to inquire about hearing aids. I had decided that quality of life now was as important as waiting until the hearing loss progressed. I found her impatient, unable to listen to me, , AND rushing to tell me what I did and didnt need before actually asking about my circumstances, and hearing needs. I even had to introduce myself, AND ask her to adjust the chair so that I could sit comfortably without my feet dangling. I had to prod her to get information about the different range of hearing aids and what would work best for me. Quick to pronounce and to make snap judgements without actually treating one as a person. I think she saw me as old - I am almost 73 - and therefore stereotyped me.
